Driven by deep interest in in-ear monitoring earphones (IEM) acoustic engineering, Stephen Synanta founded 7th Acoustics in Bandung, Indonesia in 2020 as a humble, boutique IEM manufacturer, serving local audio enthusiasts by crafting bespoke IEMs to each individual preferences. Stephen’s passion and expertise eventually attracted other like-minded individuals and our team grew within a short time.

Our experiences catering to the wide range of tonal tastes and preferences led to the development of our first standard models: the Proxima, a single balanced armature, flat reference IEM, and the Stargazer, a single dynamic and balanced armature hybrid IEM, resulting in strong local demands.

A pivotal moment came the Portable Audio Indonesia Party 2021, where we unveiled our six balanced armature prototype IEM, the Supernova. The positive reaction towards it convinced us that we can compete in the international market. The Supernova made its international debut in 2023, earning widespread acclaim within a wider audiophile community.

However, we did not stop there. We took our global journey a step further with our debut at CanJam Singapore 2024, alongside our most ambitious prototype yet: 7th Acoustics Asteria. With even more exciting projects on the horizon, we made it our mission to keep pushing the boundaries of IEM innovation.
